FAQs

Welcome to our FAQ page, where we aim to answer all your questions.

Somatic movement is all about the wellness of your entire body. Through guided movement, we ground and gain an inner equailiburum between us and our nervous system. It is a whole body wellness opportunity…

Anyone can do the somatic movement.

Young children, adults & the elderly can all participate and generate results.

Anyone can do somatic movement, physically fit or not.

Consistency in somatic movement is key here.

Given the unique nature of everyone’s bodies, muscle tension, and associated pain, it is very hard to predict a time frame accurately.

Some may experience immediate relief, others may take longer.

There will always be many factors that affect the progress of your daily activities, level of pain, muscle tension, nerve damage, and structural issues.

Somatic movement is all about not stressing the body. It is about conscientious activation of mind, body, breadth & muscles. This activation has you connect deeper to the inner turmoils of your body, ease your pain, lift your spirit and allow you to move deeper and more intentionally with your mind, body, soul.

This is on a case by case basis, something your practitioner will guide you on.

Important to note if you are doing somatic movement to ease a chronic condition &/or pain, then we recommend that you do not do any other form of exercise until you actually feel the ease your body deserves.

It is not advised.

Why? – these all involve what we call static stretching and we do not recommend this, as it can further stress the body. It is important to be aware of the fact that these therapies do not retrain the nervous system and can often cause muscles to become tighter, interfering with your somatic processes.

Soft gentle oil massage, yes. Anything vigorous or harsh is not advised!
